About The Project
Phase two of this project focused on enhancing the container yard’s capacity by adding approximately 741 new refrigerated container plugs. The expansion involved installing four-high reefer racks and outlets, supported by steel racks placed on heavy concrete foundation. Additionally, the project included the installation of electric 100ft light poles, as well as the marking and paving of asphalt and implementation of storm sewage and drainage.
These enhancements to the refrigerated container yards allow NC ports to meet the increasing demand of the agriculture and grocery sectors in North Carolina and the southeastern US.
